HP Tuners requirements

VE Optimizer works alongside HP Tuners tools. Check the software, interface, vehicle licensing, and applicable PCM requirements before installing.

Required software

HP Tuners VCM Suite

Install VCM Suite, including VCM Scanner and VCM Editor. Make sure the version supports your interface; MPVI4 requires VCM Suite 5.2 or newer.

Required hardware & licensing

MPVI3 or MPVI4 + credits

Have a compatible MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface and the HP Tuners licensing credits needed for your vehicle. Credit requirements vary by vehicle and controller.

Required where applicable

Upgraded / unlocked PCM (2015+)

For supported 2015+ Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and RAM vehicles, the PCM must be unlocked or upgraded when required by HP Tuners. Check the listed vehicle-specific exceptions.

Wideband O₂ users

PROLINK+ for analog wideband input

To log an external 0–5 V wideband oxygen-sensor signal through MPVI3 or MPVI4, use HP Tuners PROLINK+ with a compatible wideband controller.

2018+ Dodge / Chrysler / Jeep / RAM: HP Tuners also requires a Smart Access Cable for applicable 2018+ applications. Consult HP Tuners for supported vehicles, controller-specific exceptions and current licensing costs.

HP Tuners hardware, licenses, PCM services and accessories are separate from the VE Optimizer installer.

How to install

Download the ZIP archive using the button above.
Right-click the ZIP file and select Extract All.
Open the extracted folder and run the VE Optimizer setup installer.

Getting the latest version

This page always points to the latest published stable release. Return here whenever you want to download a new version. Existing installations do not update automatically through this page.
